A visit to the cinema is practically compulsory over the summer holidays but why not amp it up a bit and visit one of the many outdoor screenings taking place over the next couple of months. These are a few of the best to visit with kids in Staffordshire.

It's absolutely FREE for everyone and there will be plenty of deckchairs available to enjoy the film. There's street food and bars and lots more to keep the whole family entertained.

The Luna cinema is presenting a special outdoor showing of Dirty Dancing at twilight in the beautiful surroundings of the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, near Lichfield.

Beacon Park, Lichfield

Tickets £20 per car for four people (£5 per person). Entry will only be permitted with a valid ticket.

Enjoy a sing along as you watch this iconic movie on a giant inflatable screen in Beacon Park from the comfort of your car. The Lakeside Bistro will be selling movie snacks, including popcorn, hotdogs and ice creams to add to the drive-in atmosphere
